On average treatment time varies between 15 min to 60 mins. depending upon body part and skin concern getting treated. The skin is pre-treated with a cool gel. Then, a hand-held device emits small intense bursts of light to the skin. The targeted areas such as blood vessels, brown discoloration or redness absorb the light wave, heats up and are broken down. However, normal skin surrounding the problem area is minimally affected. The procedure is continued until all of the abnormal skin has received the small pulses of light.
